Using Linux full time

Yeah I'm trying to use Linux full time again. So far it's working. The only real problem I am having is consistency with fonts across applications. With Windows we kind of take it for granted that fonts will work all the time. With Linux it seems I have to always take some time tweaking it a little bit.

By the way, the distro I'm working with is called Knoppix. It's a live cd version of Linux. This means that it runs completely off the CD and doesn't touch your hard drive unless you tell it to do so. This is a good distro to give to people to see if they like it.

Another good thing about Knoppix is that if you do decide you like it you can install it to your hard drive. I'm going to be working on a couple of articles describing my efforts in installing Knoppix to my hard drive. It wasn't as easy as it should be, however, and this could turn a lot of people off to Linux. I do find this as a challenge for myself though and as a way to learn something new.

Well, my daughter wants me to read her a story so I'm going to cut this short. Have a good night and may God Bless you richly.
